Saturday
Holy Family, Oakbank, Oxenhope and St Joseph’s
took part in the Lord Mayor’s Parade in Bradford. They performed
‘Dosti’ (Meaning friendship) at Centenary
Square. Fagley Primary School participated in the Lord Mayor's
Parade under the banner Rainbow
Friendship.
Monday
St Johns and Feversham worked with an artist
on the theme of identity, making a WDWTWA banner, which will be
hung from the lamp posts near Centenary Square. They also made a
game about their ideal school and had a dance artist.
Nessfield worked with an artist on the theme
of identity, making a whole school display on the theme ‘Who Do We
Think We Are’ which will be displayed in school. The project ran
each day throughout the WDWTWA week.
Buttershaw and Whetley worked separately in
their schools, making an identity time capsule to send to each
other.
Lilycroft and St James had a WDWTWA
celebration day they worked with an artist on the theme of
identity. They are also took part in sports activities to celebrate
Britishness and the 2012 games.
Hoyle Court and Miriam Lord celebrated
identity and diversity by making an Identity blanket based on the
book skin again.
The 'Many Faces, Many Voices' Exhibition was
put together after extensive workshops,by the following schools:
Atlas, Low Ash, Yorkshire Martyrs, Salts Grammar and Grange. The
schools visited Cartwright Hall for the launch of the WDWTWA week
and to see the opening of their exhibition. The Brass Band of St
Bede's, and percussion band of Yorkshire Martyrs entertained the
audience.

Tuesday
To celebrate WDWTWA week and being part of
Bradford Schools Linking Project, children from Lees and Margaret
McMillan Primary met at Bradford Industrial Museum. They worked
together using the You Are Here! Exhibition to explore Bradford’s
industrial past and find out about settlement in Bradford.
Hoyle Court and Miriam Lord celebrated
identity and diversity by continuing to make an Identity blanket
based on the book skin again.
Oakworth and St Anne’s had a mini Olympics at
Marley Stadium in Keighley involving 120 children to celebrate the
WDWTWA week.

Wednesday
Killinghall and Holybrook had a dance
celebration to celebrate WDWTWA week.
Hoyle court and Miriam Lord worked with an
artist to produce a sculpture to celebrate their identity.
Bankfoot and Shirley Manor had a 2012 Olympic
Games event and took part in athletics activities.
The following schools participated in a
'Question Time Debate',where they tackled the topic:
What is 'Britishness'? The event was hosted by Bradford College and
chaired by Michelle Sutton, the Principle of Bradford College.
Aireville, Beckfoot, Bingley Grammar, Bradford Grammar, Bradford
College, Grange, Salts, St Bede's, Challenge, Laisterdyke, Hanson,
Queensbury, Thomas Clarkson and Fred Longworth.

Oxenhope, Keighley St Andrews, St Joseph’s and
Guard House had a mini Olympics at Marley Stadium in Keighley
involving 130 children to celebrate the WDWTWA week.
Hoyle court and Miriam Lord continued to work
with an artist to produce a sculpture to celebrate their
identity.

St Stephens and Thorpe had a WDWTWA
celebration day.
Oakworth and St Anne’s are had a Bollywood
workshop to celebrate WDWTWA week.
SLN-MUN Debated the Instability in
Iraq the following countries were represented:
Afganistan,Australia, Brazil, China, Denmark, Germany, India, Iran,
Iraq, Japan, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Syria,
Turkey, UK, and USA. By very able students from participatory
schools: Aireville, Beckfoot, Bingley Grammar, Bradford Grammar,
Bradford College, Grange, Salts, St Bede's, Challenge, Laisterdyke,
Hanson, Queensbury, Thomas Clarkson and Fred Longworth
