CPD Provides You With
- A clear understanding of the school linking process.
- An overview of current educational policy and Ofsted guidelines.
- New ways to engage in reflective practice and hold ‘deeper conversations’.
- Planning tools to enable a smooth link visit.
- Access to a wide range of resource material.
- A dedicated team who are there to answer all your questions and support you through your link.
We encourage schools that are either about to embark on their link or are already in the early stages of linking projects to attend CPD together. You are also welcome to attend CPD prior to and in preparation for making your link.
It is important that schools identify the most suitable staff member to attend CPD. This could be the SMT member with responsibility for community cohesion, or an identified subject teacher.
It is advisable that skills and information gained during CPD be shared and implemented back at school to ensure whole school involvement and sustainability. Furthermore SLN encourages the involvement of school governors in the running of SLN programmes.
Where training can be extended to better address the individual needs and circumstances of the school, we also provide bespoke training.
