Continuing Professional Development

Experience shows that all teachers who are preparing to link benefit from time to consider not only the logistics but also the issues around the Linking process.

The SLN believes that it is essential for teachers to take this time. If linking is to be more than simply a superficial exercise with some nice activities, it will be challenging, and should involve reflection on the part of teachers as well as students. Successful linking looks deceptively simple, but careful preparation is needed if it is to make a real impact.

For teachers as well as for students, the linking process is a Learning Journey which involves looking honestly at ourselves and our perceptions of others.

Schools Linking Network offers one day of continuing Professional Development to schools who are either already linking or who are considering setting up a link. As part of the day will include planning, you will need to come with your linking partner. To book a place, please download complete the form on this page and return it to us.
