How we work with schools

The National Gateway has been set up to facilitate links between schools across England. The Schools Linking Network aims to support schools to find a link school and, during the linking process, offer resources and professional development.

You might want to use the National Gateway if...

ba you feel that working with your own school community is what you really need in order to develop awareness of identity and diversity within your community and to nurture active citizenship through curriculum and ethos.

ba you feel that your school needs a link with another school with a significantly different population

ba you are not sure what you would like but you have an interest in identity, diversity and citizenship

What do we provide?

ba We provide a free day of professional development for the lead teachers from each new school link. This is funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and is held in Bradford where we will use existing good practice as a model for new links. Read more...

ba We provide telephone and web-based support to respond to your questions and give you ideas.

ba We provide resources online and hard copy.

ba We look forward to hearing from you! To take advantage of all this please register on this site.
