A warm welcome to the SLN Winter Newsletter 2011 … we’ve had a busy year and we are pleased to bring you the latest news, guidance information, local authority updates, partnership feedback, features and events…
It is always a pleasure to share stories across the network and this term is no exception.
Read on to find out about the fantastic work going on in so many places and growth of programmes too – there’s more interfaith work, more SLN-MUN projects, online developments, new resources and we are also continuing to pursue the process of establishing clear guidance around our work.
This feels like it is getting clearer all the time and we are excited to be able to demonstrate how strongly SLN programmes support SMSC (social, moral, spiritual and cultural) development and also how they contribute to skills needed in the workplace.
As you know I am stepping down as CEO of SLN in 2012 and am looking forward to handing the reins to our new Director, Dave Norman, who will join us at the end of January. I will be leaving at the end of February to further develop new work but I’m sure I will be in touch with many of you and of course I wouldn’t miss the ten-year celebration in May for anything! I look forward to seeing you all at one of our regional network events – details below – in February before I go.
Meanwhile I am sure you are all ready for the winter break and I wish you all a very happy, healthy and peaceful holiday period and all good wishes for the New Year.
Angie
