In order to bring SLN resources and teaching to as wide an audience as possible, SLN’s philosophy is to develop mutually-beneficial partnerships with organisations across the country, and SLN-MUN programmes are no exception.
When SLN-MUN was first established in 2008 we formed a partnership with the Peace Studies Department at the University of Bradford. They supported our very first SLN-MUN conference for students involved in the Bradford programme, which debated the topic of ‘Instability in Iraq’. We continue to work closely with the Peace Studies Department to this day.
Since 2011 we have been working with partners at the University of Manchester’s ‘Humanitarian & Conflict Institute’ (HCRI). The HCRI is supporting the SLN-MUN Stockport programme. Students and staff at the Institute are helping to mentor SLN-MUN students. Click here to go to the HCRI website or click here to visit the HCRI blog.
